Oh Doctor, Doctor

New Loui pic. He rules my gallery after all, doesn't he?
This time I wanted to portray him a bit different. Still menacing, psychotic and science-y, but with lots of GLAM. And I am speaking of real, traditional glam á la David Bowie, Slade or Marc Bolan. The latter who was also the inspiration for this picture here (since our good ol' T.Rex loved feathers and boas). I was watching and listening to some BBC documentaries about Glam, Punk, british street style and musical perfomances and it was really inspiring. Now I wish there'd be still guys not being afraid of being camp, wearing high heels, feather boas and of course glitter make-up.

Apart from glam I was also a bit influenced by the figure of Dr.Strangelove (from the same called movie by Stanley Kubrick). Was a while when I have seen that movie and I really need to rewatch it, but the maniacal mad scientist with his rather elegant suit and the threatening leather gloved hand are stuck in my mind. Leather gloves are apparently always a sign for badassery.

Of course Loui loves to look stylish and fabulous, especially when he slices up some undesirable humanoid organisms. He doesn't like being restricted to the old nerd stereotype and will proudly show off that scientists and magicians can be quite stylish. Also my story is set in an alternative version of the near future. Fashion is quite different there.
